Amazon Machine Image

Amazon machine Image is a snapshot or copy of the entire server. Once you have a AMI if you wanted to launch another copy of the server you can. AMi’s are required when setting up a autoscaling group and I will explain that in my next story.

TO complete this you need to do the following steps:

In EC2 > Highlight your stopped Instance > click on Actions > Image and templates > Create Image

Create an Image name > Image description > then select create image in the bottom right corner
